Dear Will and Shannon:
On behalf of the Disabled Sailing Association of British Columbia (DSA), our volunteers and especially our participants, I wish to convey our sincere appreciation to you for generously supporting our Adopt-a-Boat program.
Your sponsorship enables us to operate and maintain one of our Martin 16 sailboats and to offer to hundreds of people with significant physical disabilities the chance to experience the many pleasures and benefits inherent in the sport of sailing. This summer, sailors with disabilities will experience 1,000 sails through our sailing programs and regattas at the Jericho Sailing Centre in Vancouver. With supporters like you, we have every reason to believe that number will grow significantly in the years ahead.
To recognize your contribution, we have affixed your logo to the hull of the boat you have "adopted". It was launched in 2004, thanks to the CKNW Orphan's Fund, a charity that has supported DSA over the years, last year with the funds to add a new boat to our fleet. I hope that you enjoy the photos that I have included. In addition, we will post your name on the Supporters page of our website, on upcoming DSA literature and on our signage at the Jericho Sailing Centre.
Thank you again for your generous support of the Disabled Sailing Association of B.C. and our Adopt-a-Boat Program.
Sincerely,
David Ostro Funds Development Manager cc. JP Cardinal |
